This year the Hungarian Bakers’ Association organised its 14th national bread competition.

Alföldi Pajta bread

Dozens of bakeries entered in three categories and this year’s winner in the St. Stephen’s Day category was Balmaz Sütöde Kft. (Balmazújváros) with its Alföldi Pajta bread.
In the Innovative Bread category the main prize went to Varga Bakery (Mórahalom) for its Mediterranean bread. In the Pastry category the August Dream dessert by Három Tarka Macska Artisan Bakery finished first.
