Agriculture performs well in 2014
Agriculture, despite the high base in 2014 is expected to contribute positively to the country's GDP growth – Czerván György the Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) told on Tuesday in Budapest, at the agricultural partner meeting of the OTP Bank.
Czerván György explained that the agriculture in the first half of the year contributed by 0.2 percentage points to teh GDP growth, while in the past year with 0.9 percentage points. He added that the total output of the agriculture last year was record high, reached 2,313 billion HUF.
The volume of investments in agriculture in 2013, expanded with 9.1 percent and in the first half of this year, the growth was 29.4 percent – he added. (MTI)
