Earth Hour: The Metro and Unilever have also joined
The Metro and Unilever also joined the Earth Hour initiative. In the scope of the action all around the world light were turned off for an hour.
Last year, millions of people joined to the third Earth Hour initiative. Lights were turned off in more than 4 thousand cities in eighty-eight countries. With this, the Earth Hour became the largest climate change warning initative of the world.
The Earth Hour initiative was born in Australia in 2007. In 2007, lights were switched off in 2.2 million households at the same time. A year later, 50 million inhabitants in 35 countries took part in the action.
