The beekeepers are living from acacia honey
We need to shift the attacks against the Hungarian acacia, because the Hungarian beekeepers are living from acacia honey – the president of the Hungarian Beekeepers Association told the M1 News Channel on Tuesday.
The acacia honey is 40-60 percent of the Hungarian honey production – Mészáros László told. As he said, the acacia forests were planted decisively on typically low-value sandy areas where other crops can not be produced economically. He also told that the destruction of the acacia forests could have harmful ecological consequences. (MTI)
