Greenpeace: bees dying due to hazardous chemicals
Greenpeace asks Rural Development Minister Fazekas Sándor for an immediate ban on chemicals hazardous to bees – the environment protection organization announced on Monday.
On 16 January, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) presented its study. According to the study, three chemicals are posing a high risk to bees. The problem is so significant that the European Commission proposed restriction on the use of the three agrochemicals on sunflower, rapeseed and corn fields on 31 January 2013. (MTI)
