Colorants over limit were found in candy for children
More than permitted quinoline yellow and unlabeled tartrazine dyes were detected by the Slovak authorities in a tongue coloring candy intended for children.
The National Food Chain Safety Agency (Nébih) announced on its website that the Polish product was also transported to Hungary.
According to the information, dyes can be safely consumed in small quantities, but some studies suggest that they can cause hyperactivity in children and can cause allergic reactions. (MTI)
