MEDIA Central Group and ShopFully join forces to become Europe’s leading drive-to-store marketing platform for major retailers and brands
MEDIA Central Group, Europe’s largest specialist in shopper activation, has joined forces with ShopFully, the continent’s leading digital drive-to-store marketing technology platform. By combining MEDIA Central Group’s digital businesses, Offerista Group and Yagora with ShopFully, MEDIA Central Group offers a unique, data-driven, 360° drive-to-store marketing portfolio across Europe from a single source.
The world of drive-to-store marketing is evolving dynamically and with this move, MEDIA Central Group will help retailers and brands to shift from print to hybrid sales strategies and increase digital reach to customers across all European markets. ShopFully and Offerista will thus create a new digital leader in Europe and internationally.
The merger of the digital businesses will support the growth of MEDIA Central Group under the leadership of Stefano Portu, CEO of ShopFully and Chief Digital Officer of MEDIA Central Group, and Benjamin Thym, CEO of Offerista Group. In the future, local retail and brand customers of both companies will have access to the know-how and best-in-class technology of both companies to reach and activate shoppers in Europe and beyond through digital platforms or POS.
Founded in 2012, Milan-based technology company ShopFully now operates in 12 countries across Europe, Latin America and Australia with a team of 370 employees. Through its apps and websites DoveConviene, Tiendeo, PromoQui and VolantinoFacile, as well as its technology solutions including “”HI!”” (Hyperlocal Intelligence), ShopFully’s AI-powered hyperlocal marketing platform, ShopFully helps more than 400 major retailers and best-known brands worldwide to engage with a total of 45 million consumers on the shopping journey, from online research to in-store purchase.
Ingo Wienand, Group CEO of the MEDIA Central Group said, “ShopFully complements MEDIA Central perfectly – both geographically with its leading market positioning in Southern Europe and internationally, and in terms of its highly scalable, AI-driven digital platform which will help to further strengthen our ties with major retailers and brands. The combination with ShopFully marks another major step in our strategy to digitize drive-to-store marketing, which began with the acquisition of Offerista in 2021 and data-science-specialist Yagora in 2022.”
Stefano Portu, CEO of ShopFully and now CEO Digital at the MEDIA Central Group, added, „We are delighted to be joining forces with MEDIA Central Group to become Europe’s number one Drive-to-Store Marketing provider. By combining our resources – ShopFully’s strong presence in Southern Europe and internationally, Offerista Group’s leading position in the DACH and CEE region, and Yagora’s data analytics expertise – we will be able to offer retailers and brands across Europe and beyond unique and comprehensive digital drive-to-store solutions from a single source and technology platform”.
