MasterCard supports contactless payment
MasterCard would make the PayPass (contactless payment technology) as the part of “everyday life” in Australia and in New Zealand in the next few years – notified the card company.
The goal is that the main part of the transactions under 100 Australian dollars would be carried out by contactless payment terminals.
Eddie Grobler, president of the Australian Division of MasterCard said: Today, more than 5.3 million PayPass cards are operating in Australia, that are used at 35 thousand accepting points – reports Világgazdaság Online.
