Mars stands for gender equality and ending prejudice with more than 10,000 women
Mars, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of sweets, chocolate, food and pet food, recently asked more than ten thousand women from 88 countries: what needs to change in order for as many women as possible to assert themselves according to their abilities? The study highlights that women around the world experience a variety of long-standing and emerging barriers to their fulfilment. International Women’s Day is an excellent opportunity for Mars to once again stand up for gender equality and encourage other companies to do the same.
According to the analysis of the World Economic Forum, it would take approximately 132 years to achieve gender equality worldwide. Companies like Mars have the tools to make breakthroughs in creating a happier and more inclusive world. According to the company’s creed, gender equality not only promotes the growth and prosperity of companies, but also ensures the full exploitation of women’s potential – which is highlighted by the company’s action program called Full Potential. Building on the results of the #HereToBeHeard study, Mars encourages everyone, including private sector representatives, government actors and individuals, to be active in promoting gender equality.
