Two thirds of Hungarians would pay with smartphone instead of bank card
At the end of May Mastercard published the results of a survey, which reveal that two thirds of Hungarians would prefer smartphone payment instead of bank cards. One quarter of respondents would use their smart watch for payment purposes, too. It is Mastercard technology that is running behind all mobile wallet solutions used in Hungary. This technology substitutes the actual bank card with a digital one, a so-called token, which is featured in the customer’s phone to guarantee that paying with it can only be initiated by using the given smart-
phone. //
