The Hungarian Product trademark gives companies a sense of community and customers reliable quality
Professional cooperation based on mutual benefits enables businesses to overcome economic and other challenges that arise from time to time. Magyar Termék Nonprofit Kft. can help companies by inspiring cooperation, knowledge sharing, and individual and joint development, said the independent certification organization and Auchan Magyarország Kft. at the joint Debrecen supplier forum.
The forum is an excellent example of how micro and small businesses can be helped together to get their products onto store shelves and into customers’ baskets. The cooperation between Auchan Hungary Ltd., Hungarian Product Nonprofit Ltd. and the National Chamber of Agriculture not only offers local food producers access to the market, but also makes a tangible contribution to strengthening the domestic economy. This forum is an important step towards ensuring that domestic products appear on store shelves in an even greater proportion.
Magyar Product Nonprofit Ltd. has been committed to supporting businesses operating in Hungary for almost two decades, ensuring that their reliable quality domestic products are clearly visible, easily and clearly identifiable in the stores’ offerings, so that customers can always choose the best, yet affordable domestic goods. In order to achieve this goal, two hundred and sixty businesses have now joined the ranks of users of the Hungarian Product trademarks and approximately six thousand trademarked products can be found on store shelves.
The benefits of using the Hungarian Product trademark are now well proven by the numbers. The annual revenue of the companies displaying the logo – exceeding all previous expectations – reached 4,500 billion forints last year, with companies producing domestic products ensuring the livelihood of around 48 thousand Hungarian families in 2024.
“The trademark is an important point of alignment for customers, its presence increasingly determines what goes into the customers’ basket. This is confirmed by the fact that more than 90 percent of the respondents in our current representative research stated that they are well aware of the Hungarian Product trademarks and look for them during their purchases”
– said Eszter Benedek, managing director of Hungarian Product Nonprofit Kft. at the supplier forum in Debrecen held jointly with Auchan Hungary Kft. He added that the Hungarian population’s essential expectation of products with the Magyar Termék trademark is that they be made from domestic raw materials, be of high quality, reliable, and at the same time provide job opportunities for Hungarian workers.
