Dreher is embarking on the biggest investment program in Hungarian beer production so far
The long-term future of Dreher Breweries is ensured by the 100 billion HUF development series of Asahi Group Holdings and Asahi Europe & International. Complementing the investments of previous years, the multi-year program just announced raises the entire process of beer production to a new level, which, in addition to increasing capacity and efficiency, also serves the company’s ambitious heritage-building and sustainability goals.
The change of owner and management in Hungary in 2017 brought a new direction to the life of the brewery. In line with Asahi’s international and European strategy, the “From Dreher to Dreher” heritage building philosophy was born, which – just like before the nationalization in 1948 – focuses on premiumization and the combination of tradition and modernity in the field of operations, product and corporate culture development. The consistent constructive work of the following 6 years resulted in the strengthening of market positions, an increase in employee well-being and satisfaction, agile company operations and improved profitability, thereby opening the way for future investments.
