The Hungarian Ocimum Basilicum 'Purple' is the new king of ornamental plants
The prestigious International Fleuroselect rewarded a gold medal to a Hungarian bred ornamental plant again, the Ocimum basilicum 'Purple' ie a a new type of basil.
The staff of the NAIK Research Institute of Pomology received the official notification in July at a conference in England that the Hungarian plant will be awarded with a gold medal next year. This is a very great honor, because no one expected that after the success of last year's Celosia Plumosa 'Arrabona' the Hungarian breeders will be rewarded once again.
