The Hungarian growth is not enough to catch up
The growth of the gross domestic product (GDP) in the second quarter of 2016 surprised the analysts, but the 2.6 percent growth indicator is deceiving. If it is cleaned off the effects – as Eurostat also did – we can speak only about a 1.7 percent growth – Magyar Nemzet Online wrote.
The Central Statistical Office (CSO), reported about results surpassing the previous expectations: the gross domestic product grew by 2.6 percent compared to the same period of the previous year in the second quarter, after a 0.9 percent rise in the first quarter. That exceeded analysts expectations of 2.1 percent. However the KSH in addition to the “raw” numbers, also published the cleaned off the effects; Accordingly, growth was 1.7 percent in the second quarter, compared to the same period in 2015.
