Half of the Hungarian population does not collect drink cans separately
About half of the Hungarian population does not collect the milk and juice boxes separately – the Beverage Carton Environmental Protection Association’s (IKSZ) new nationwide representative survey reveals.
The survey revealed that an average of five beverage cartons are cleared by a Hungarian family a week. 54 percent of the respondents indicated that selectively collects these, 27 percent of the non collectors cited the lack of knowledge, 33 percent say there is no chance for selective waste collection in their own homes, while 43 percent said that the environmental approach was not sufficiently strong, and 66 percent does not collect due to convenience aspects.
