The largest exhibition of Hungarian small-scale and artisanal cheeses
This year, the 11th Hungarian Cheese Show will be held at the Etyek Visitor Center on September 29.
At the one-day event, in addition to the national cheese judging, cheese makers can participate in a professional conference. The conference will discuss, among other things, cheese ripening, the microbiology of cheese making, cheese diseases and culture techniques. In the professional program, internationally recognized specialists will give lectures: Bronwen Percival, cheese buyer at Neal’s Yard Dairy in London, Malen Sarasua, head of Leartiker Dairy Research in Spain, Sebastién Picoulet, dairy technologist at La Fourniture Laitière in France, and Gábor Szafner, researcher at the Hungarian Dairy Research Institute. head of its development and innovation department.
New to the program is the Hungarian Cheese Table, which will be opened by Balázs Győrffy, the president of the National Chamber of Agrarian Economy.
