Hungarian wine is the best-known top product of the Hungarian food industry
Hungarian wine is the best-known top product of the Hungarian food industry – emphasized the Secretary of State responsible for the food industry and trade policy of the Ministry of Agriculture at the opening of the 32nd Budapest Wine Festival on Thursday.
Márton Nobilis pointed out that the Hungarian public can now choose from many wine events, but the “queen of wine festivals” is still the Budapest Wine Festival.
At the festival, wine producers can present their products, and Hungarian and foreign wine lovers can get an insight into Hungarian wine culture in one place on the terraces of Buda Castle – he praised the event.
As he pointed out: Hungarian wine production is a strategic sector for the government. Nothing ensures this better than the fact that the area has its own government commissioner in the person of Pál Rókusfalvy, and the Hungarian state supports the sector with nearly 30 million euros (11.58 billion forints) a year – said Márton Nobilis.
