MAGOSZ encourages public storage

The amount of wheat is moderate, but quality is high this year in Hungary – states the MAGOSZ. According to the agricultural organization; prices are depressed currently, but on the basis of the global trend, farmers can ask more for their products later, now it is not worthwhile to sell the crops.

The yield ranges between 3.2-4.0 tons per hectare on average. Thus, the total amount of wheat can be around last year's harvest, that was 3.76 million tons. He added, however, the wheat has a good quality, which is also shown by the nutritional value of grains. In addition, due to the favorable weather conditions, the farmers no need to worry about fusarium infection this year – reports MTI.
