The luxury product manufacturer focuses on the Far East and Latin America

British Burberry is planning further expansion in the Far East – particularly in China and in Latin America. According to the company; in these regions, nearly a one-third increase occured in the demand for the company's products. The Japanese earthquake and the tsunami did not worsen the outlooks.

The company's turnover in the second half of the fiscal year, ending in March increased by 30 percent to 860 million pounds, compared to the same period of the previous year.

Over the past years, Burberry opened 50 franchise stores in China. The company spent 70 million pounds on the Far East expansion, until the summer of 2010.
