Lidl organized its Telitálka campaign for the 12th time this year
This year, Lidl Hungary organized its Telitálka campaign for the 12th time to draw attention to the importance of responsible animal husbandry and to contribute to the supply of shelter pets with quality pet food. With the help of its customers, the supermarket chain is supporting the NOÉ Állatotthon and REX Kutyaotthon Foundations with more than nine tons of pet food worth about HUF five million this year.
Our country’s market-leading retail store chain is committed to social causes, including the support of endangered animals. In connection with this, in 2016, he launched the fund-raising campaign called Telitálka, in order to use the available means to help animals with a difficult fate. The main mission of the company is to educate people about responsible animal husbandry in a fun and interactive way.
This time, the initiative was launched on the occasion of World Companion Animal Day on the discount chain’s official Facebook page. Questions related to responsible animal husbandry were posted on the platform, which interested people could answer in the comments, and each correct answer was worth a virtual pet food donation of HUF 500 or HUF 1,000.
“Our Telitálka initiative, which is renewed every year, is an important element of our social responsibility program, which is clearly shown by the fact that this year we have organized it for the twelfth time. We are extremely proud that we could count on the followers of our social media page this time as well, which shows that the responsible care of animals is a matter of our hearts. And with the cooperation of our customers, we can support the residents of the NOÉ Animal Shelter and the REX Dog Shelter with a difficult fate with more than nine tons of pet food”
– said Judit Tőzsér, head of corporate communications at Lidl Hungary.
