The Lidl philosophy
Lidl was established in the 30’s, later splitting into a discount chain and a hyper market and super market chain under the name of Kaufland and Handelshof. At present, Lidl has the largest chain of food discount stores in Europe. Maximum simplicity – this is the Lidl philosophy. Best quality at the best price for FMCG products is their objective. Lidl has over 1200 products including private labels. Strict quality control is enforced for all items. Promotions are held for non-food items every week.
