István Nagy said that the social consultation of the call for tenders has already begun. Primary producers, agricultural entrepreneurs and social cooperatives will also be able to apply for the call with a budget of around thirty billion forints. According to the draft, the resources will be used for the construction, expansion and development of buildings and facilities related to animal husbandry and horticulture, as well as for the purchase of more important machines and tools, he added. As he said, in addition to all this, the support will also be available for some smaller improvements related to crop cultivation in the field. The non-refundable subsidy is a maximum of ten million forints, and the intensity of the subsidy is a maximum of eighty-five percent, he noted. István Nagy announced that the draft call can be commented on at kap.gov.hu until October 12. He emphasized that the smallest farmers are also very important to the government, because they are the “backbone of Hungarian agriculture”.
