The sweetest duo: buying the popular snacks now earns you 1+1% support courtesy of Tesco and Mondelez
Although the annual tax return deadline is still a long way off, we can already support those who really need it with 1+1 percent. What’s more, charity is automatic if we buy our favorite snacks at Tesco between April 9 and 22. Mondelez, the manufacturer of Milka, Sport, Oreo, Dörmi, Tuc and Győri Édes products, is offering 1% of the net price to the Hungarian Food Bank Association, and Tesco is doubling this amount.
Tesco and Mondelez are launching a charity collaboration with the participation of customers. For two weeks – between April 9 and 22 – they will support the work of the Hungarian Food Bank Association with 1+1 percent of the net consumer price from the purchase of products from the six most popular Mondelez brands.
The special feature of the campaign is that customers do not need any registration, coupon or application. The support is provided automatically when purchasing any relevant Milka, Sport, Oreo, Dörmi, Tuc and Győri Édes products, either in one of the nearly 200 Tesco stores or online, on the Tesco Otthonról platform. The manufacturer’s 1 percent offer is doubled by Tesco’s own contribution, so the Food Bank can spend a total of 2 percent of the net price on providing for those in need.
Tesco has been working with the Food Bank for many years. For example, food that remains in their stores at the end of the day and is suitable for human consumption is delivered to those in need with the help of the organization. Twice a year, the customers of the supermarket chain buy and offer non-perishable food to those in difficult situations, which Tesco supplements with its own offering. Customers can contribute to the charity campaign that is currently running very easily. All they need to do is choose and buy their favourite sweet or savoury snack, and Tesco and Mondelez will work together to ensure that this gesture turns into real help.
The campaign will take place between 9 and 22 April 2026 in all Tesco stores in Hungary, as well as on the Tesco Otthonról website. Further details and a list of products participating in the campaign can be found here.
