We are eating healthier according to KSH
Less fat, more vegetables and fruits – KSH (Hungarian Central Statistical Office) reports that we have come closer to the rates of healthy nutrition pyramid in the last years.
According to the statistics, 675 kilogramms of food are consumed per person a year in average (1.8 kg/person in average per day), which is not an uncommon figure. Proportions within this amount, however, have changed somewhat – showing a tendency towards healthier nutrition. Although the figures showing the consumption of fat, meat, sweets, vegetables and fruits all support this trend, on the whole it can be said that in 2008 we have consumed more than 3000 kalories per day, which is still above the recomended quantity by 23 percent – writes szabadfold.hu.
