Hy-Vee protects the environment with new projects
Hy-Ve has completed the first phase of its solar project in Chariton, Iowa: the Hy-Vee Chariton Solar Field is the first step in a partnership between the retailer and Alliant Energy Corp. that will produce enough energy to power 360 homes annually. Hy-Vee has also installed an apiary in the solar field and is working with researchers at Iowa State University to study how native plants can help sustain bee colonies.
