The Government would save the meat companies with the involvement of local governments
The Government is considering a solution that can be EU compliant and can save the ailing meat companies of Gyula, Kaposvár and Pápa – the Népszabadság was informed from several independent sources.
According to the idea, the local governments would acquire ownership in the meat plants of Kaposvár and Pápa and then the Government would consolidate the local authority”in some form”. The situation at the meat plant of Gyula is more specific, since the company recently went under liquidation procceeding. In case of this company, the local government would establish a company which would “rent” the plant from the liquidator. (Népszabadság Online)
