Konica Minolta's huge plans in Hungary
The Japanese giant Konica Minolta selected Hungary as the location of its regional logistics center in Central and Eastern Europe. It is also a great achievement that the company will manage its corporate operations in the region from three regional centers, including one in the Czech Republic, one in Poland and one in Hungary. The Hungarian center will supply 60 million people in 6 countries with a 20 billion USD annual turnover.
“Reasonable logistics processes and appropriate stock management are also needed to maintain our the results of the past few years and to maintain the achieved dynamic growth.” – Ken Osuga, Konica Minolta’s European President declared. “With the new regional center we will further increase the competitiveness of our products. The optimization of transportation and logistics costs will be felt in the end-user prices as well.”
The new logistics center serves will supply a huge region. Beside Hungary, this base will supply the markets of Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Turkey, Greece, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Albania and Macedonia.
Thanks to the investment approximately thirty new jobs will be created directly and a further 200-220 people will get job opportunities in Hungary. (by our colleague)
