One fifth of SMEs plan to recruit new employees
A survey conducted by GfK Hungária for Budapest Bank found that 80 percent of Hungarian SMEs’ managing directors believe there is huge potential in their enterprises. 30 percent of small and medium-sized businesses expect an increase in turnover in the next twelve months and 20 percent plan to recruit new workers – mainly medium-sized, higher-revenue businesses. Almost all managing directors agreed that the success of a company relies on the expertise of its employees, but 15 percent have difficulties in finding well-trained workers and 70 percent reckon that they are increasingly harder to find. 46 percent search for new employees at online job portals and 35 percent trust personal recommendation. 50 percent of companies don’t spend on recruitment, team building or training at all.
