Hungarian egg producers are asking for the support of traders

Maintaining Hungarian egg production may depend on the support of traders
The advocacy urges change due to oversupply in the EU and significant increases in feed, energy and labor costs.
According to the Association of Hungarian Egg Hybrid Breeders and Egg Producers, domestic companies have been selling table eggs at prices below cost for almost a year now. To compensate for the loss of 3-5 forints per egg, animal keepers would have to receive at least 40 forints for the cheapest piece of table egg of size M, they wrote today. (MTI)
