Coffee can be the key to fighting obesity
Scientists at the University of Nottingham have discovered that coffee can stimulate brown fat tissue that plays a role in energy burning, which can be key in fighting against obesity and diabetes.
Brown fat is one of the two types of fat tissues in humans and animals. It was previously believed that its existence is only a feature of infants and sleeping animals, but a few years ago it was discovered that adults also had brown fat tissues. Its main function is to heat the body by burning energy, as opposed to white fat tissue that stores excess calories. (MTI)
