The international trade union is concerned about the deterioration of profitability in air freight transport
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) fears that profitability in air freight transport will continue to decline in 2020, which will lead to the failure of many companies.
Andrew Matters, a Montreal-based trade organization economist responsible for the sector, said at a press conference in Geneva that they expect a 4 percent decline in tonne / kilometer performance this year. Profitability is down 5 percent from a year earlier, revenue may fall 1.1 percent below the 2018 levels to 101 billion USD. According to the data, there has been no such decline since the 2008 global economic crisis. (Körtvélyes Tivadar, MTI)
