The Hungarian beef cattle breeding is the success of the livestock sector

The beef cattle breeding is the Hungarian animal breeding’s success sector, because after the system change 25 years ago, negative tendencies and decrease occured in all sectors of the Hungarian animal husbandry, with the exception of the beef cattle breeding, where significant growth is realized – the co-president of the Hungarian Cattle Breeders' Association said on Thursday in Budapest, at a professional meeting.

Márton István told at the beef sector’s second national conference that the number of the beef cattle in the country is about 165 thousand currently. In the last five years the stock has increased by about 20 percent since there is a huge market demand. (MTI)
