Meat-producers are about to sell 15-20 thousand ton of smoked products for Easter
According to expectations by the Meatguild of Hungary, small and medium-sized enterprises represented by them are about to sell 15-20 thousand ton of smoked meat until Easter Monday.
Expert Zoltán Babati of the Meatguild has summarized the fact that each enterprise belonging to them are about to send 15-20 ton of smoked product to the market. The most popular items are cut thighs: the price of one kilogramm of smoked thigh ranges from 1000-1300 HUF. The annual income of the meat industry is largely based on the products sold throughout the Easter-season: 35 percent of the industry's income derives from this time of the year.
