The Croatian government limits the prices of 30 basic foods
At its meeting on Thursday, the Croatian government adopted its sixth comprehensive package of measures developed to alleviate the crisis caused by the rise in living costs, with which it continues to freeze energy carriers and limit the price of basic foodstuffs, as well as providing one-time subsidies to vulnerable groups.
Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic – according to the report of the Croatian public television – said at the government meeting: the new package defines two basic goals, most of which relate to reducing the rise in energy prices. 389 million euros (154 billion forints) will be provided for this, and 114 million euros (45.1 billion forints) for protection against inflation.
As part of the new package of measures, electricity prices for households, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, public institutions, schools, kindergartens and hospitals, as well as municipalities, religious institutions, associations and communal companies will remain unchanged for a period of six months starting from April 1st. for.
