Local products and the support for Hungarian food companies are central to Auchan’s strategy. The retailer has started its “From the farm to the table” programme for domestic producers who adopt conscious farming practices such as organic crop protection.
Shoppers can now find nearly 2,000 private label products in stores, made by Auchan in cooperation with Hungarian suppliers, and the retailer is currently working with around 200 partners.
More than 100 of Auchan’s private label products bear the Hungarian product, domestically made or domestically processed labels. The chain’s purchasing policy seeks to increase the proportion of Hungarian products in its assortment. //
