The event which will take place between 23-27 September implies many significant changes – for instance, for the first time there will be an ambassador for the event, undertaken by Tihamér Horváth farmer from county Zala.
As Róbert Zsigó Sate Secretary for Food Chain Supervision of Ministry has told MTI the event has been improving year by year – by now it has a leading role amongst agricultural exhibitions. During last OMÉK in 2013 about 750 exhibitors were introduced at the 45,000 m2 area. Organisers count upon 800-900 exhibitors and about 100,000 visitors this year.
According to Zsigó OMÉK presents a comprehensive view of agriculture sector – by the different exhibitors one can see the life course of products from agricultural land to the dining table. OMÉK is visited from all parts of the country and also from accross borders in order to bring the specific flavours, traditions and products of their region.
