Heineken quenches its thirst for data management with artificial intelligence
Heineken Simplifies Data Analytics for Employees with SAP AI Solution. One of the world’s largest brewers has deployed its internal artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot, “Hoppy,” to improve its business processes and gain access to real-time data, the partnership was announced at the year’s gigatech conference, SAP Sapphire.
With operations in more than 70 countries and more than 165 breweries worldwide, Heineken wanted to simplify data access so that its business users could quickly find and analyze data in their preferred language. The AI-driven chatbot, “Hoppy,” running on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), represents a significant step forward in Heineken’s commitment to streamline internal processes and empower its employees.
With advanced natural language processing and data across multiple systems, Hoppy eliminates time-consuming manual searches and allows business users to focus on strategic and expertise-intensive tasks.
With SAP Datasphere, the company now has a unified data model for better data access and scalability. In addition, with the generative AI hub capability integrated with SAP BTP, Hoppy enables natural language querying, visualization, and more secure data access.
Andre van Schuijlenburg, Director of Global Process Management at Heineken, said: “Building AI agents and integrating them into processes is not always an easy journey. We still have a lot to discover. But as we say in the team: ‘Don’t worry, be Hoppy!’”.
“Heineken’s decision to use SAP Business AI for its internal chatbots exemplifies an innovative approach to rethinking operational efficiency and employee empowerment,” said Manos Raptopoulos, Managing Director and Member of the Board of Directors for SAP Europe, Middle East and Africa. “We are proud that our technology is facilitating seamless internal communication and knowledge sharing for such an iconic global brand.”
