Hungarian winemakers across the border can also count on the support of the mother country
The Ministry of Agriculture pays special attention to the development of the historic Hungarian wine regions and to the support of the community of Hungarian winemakers abroad, stated István Nagy, head of the ministry, at the handing over of the headquarters of the Transylvanian Hungarian Winemakers’ Association in Székelyhíd on Friday, according to the ministry’s statement sent to MTI on Friday.
At the event, the Minister of Agriculture spoke about how the Ministry has been supporting farmers, who make up the majority of Hungarians living abroad, for more than a decade through its various professional programs.
The professional and financial assistance programs that have been running since 2012 and have been expanding ever since, thanks to the network of agricultural relations covering the entire Carpathian basin, we contribute to the prosperity of tens of thousands of Hungarians across the border in their homeland.
