ALDI has already introduced a number of measures in Hungary in order to keep the carbon footprint of its operations as low as possible and to enable its customers to contribute to environmental protection in as many areas as possible. Since the first store opening in Hungary in 2008, the store chain has been collecting paper and plastic film selectively, but the PET bottles used in the stores are also sent back for recycling.
