The Competition Authority allows the food industrial fusion
The Competition Authority (GVH) gave permission to the Agrofert Holding that has many Hungarian interests to acquire control over the Czech Republic-based Mlékárna Hlinsko.
The Competition Authority (GVH) initiated proceedings because the OLMA, A. S. dairy company, which is selling dairy products to Hungarian chains and is part of the Agrofert group, while the Mlékárna Hlinsko is also present in the Hungarian market as a supplier.
However, according to the Competition Authority (GVH); the merger does not raise competition concerns, since the market remains strong with many players with strong price – writes Népszabadság Online.
