The GVH considers the protection of vulnerable consumers as a priority
The Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH) considers the protection of vulnerable consumers as a priority for many years.
These vulnerable consumers can be more easily influenced by advertisements and offers, due to their state of health, age or financial difficulties.
The GVH investigated the practice of product demonstrations within 10 competition supervision proceedings in the past five years (between 2010 and 2014), and imposed fines several times.
