The activities of the GVH in 2019 in a nutshell
In 2019, the competition authority closed nearly 100 proceedings, in which it imposed fines totaling 8.3 billion HUF. In 2019, the GVH considered the most important task to be anti-competitive behavior: 41 percent of all fines (3.4 billion HUF) were imposed in cartel cases. The authority imposed 59 percent of all fines due to unfair influence on consumer decisions. (4.9 billion HUF).
