As of January the VAT in the German hospitality industry increased from 7% to 19%, despite protests from the trade.

This is the reason why restaurant owners in Saxony have joined local farmers’ protests: among the 8,500 people who gathered outside the Brandenburg Gate were many representatives of the hospitality industry. //
