This year’s rules must also be followed in 2024 when uploading the Business Diary electronically
The Ministry of Agriculture informs the affected farmers that this year’s rules will be the governing rules for maintaining and uploading the electronic Farming Diary in 2024, i.e. it will be sufficient to upload it once next year as well.

In order to simplify the administrative obligations of farmers, the electronic Farming Diary (eGN) was launched at the beginning of 2023, which is a new public administration service, which the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) has included in the currently separate e-spraying diary, Farming Diary and nitrate data sheet systems integrates the data found. This year, farmers can keep the Farming Diary both electronically and on paper as a condition for applying for subsidies, and if the farmer decides to keep it on paper for the year 2023, then the data recorded there must be uploaded by January 31, 2024 at the latest must be uploaded to Nébih’s eGN interface. Evaluating this year’s experience and helping farmers thoroughly prepare for the transition to up-to-date management, the eGN – with the exception of the spraying log – will only need to be uploaded once in 2024. This means that from January 1, 2025, the data must be up-to-date in the electronic management log, and the paper-based management logs for 2024 must be uploaded to the Nébih electronic Management Log by January 31, 2025 at the latest.
The Farming Diary must be filled out depending on which subsidies the producer uses
In order to ensure the smoothness of data recording, the steps to be taken are detailed separately for each grant, which can be found on the NÉBIH portal at https://portal.nebih.gov.hu/egn. Video help and answers to the most frequently asked questions can be found here to help you find your way around. Specialists are constantly working on the development of the new service launched this year.
