The UN Secretary General and the President of Ukraine urged the extension of the grain agreement in Kyiv
The common goal of Ukraine and the UN is to extend the grain agreement after March 18, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on Wednesday after meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres in Kiev.
“Today, we are interested in ensuring that there is no famine in the world. Our other common goal is the expansion of the grain corridor. We raised the question of the future extension of the initiative, the details of how we could further help the world,” explained the head of state. Guterres also emphasized the “extreme importance” of continuing the Black Sea grain initiative, the Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported.
