Cereal prices up 14 percent in just one year
In December 2018 agricultural production prices were 5.8 percent higher in comparison with the level of December 2017 – reported the Central Statistical Office (KSH). This situation was the result of vegetable product prices growing by 10.2 percent and livestock/products of animal origin prices decreasing by 1.5 percent from the base period level. The price of cereal crops grew by 14 percent – wheat cost 23 percent more and corn became 6.3 percent more expensive. The price of livestock didn’t change. //
