GVH organized an online workshop on consumer protection responsibility
In an online workshop, experts from the Economic Competition Office (GVH) and domestic private law experts discussed the most current issues of consumer protection responsibility. In the framework of the event, the participants mainly covered the topics of influencer responsibility and platform responsibility.
In recent years, the national competition authority has been paying a lot of attention to bringing to justice those market players who are most expected to correct the commercial practices complained of. Therefore, the GVH focuses on various aspects of platform responsibility or, for example, the responsibility of influencers and opinion leaders. On the latter topic, GVH published a guide for market participants in November 2022, and in 2023, the GVH Podcast also discussed the responsibility of influenza drugs in detail.
The purpose of the workshop organized on February 8, entitled “Consumer Protection Responsibility”, was to provide participants with a deeper insight into the system of consumer protection responsibility, paying special attention to the issues of influencer responsibility and platform responsibility.
