The number of employees in trade and public administration increased annually

On an annual basis, the number of employed people has increased – by 20-30 thousand – in the fields of trade, public administration, healthcare and agriculture, while the manufacturing industry and construction industry have weakened – said the State Secretary for Employment Policy of the Ministry of National Economy (NGM) on the M1 current affairs channel on Thursday.

In his program titled “The Greatest Challenge”, he highlighted that the biggest challenge in the coming period will be how to find those who know, want and are able to work from the approximately 300,000 partially registered job seekers and partially inactive people within the country.

In connection with this, he emphasized that “as long as there are Hungarians, we will give the jobs to Hungarians.”

Sándor Czomba said on the M1 current affairs channel that an increase in real wages in 2026 remains a realistic goal, the rate of which this year will be around 5 percent.
