Finnish vodka is about adventures
The favourite vodka of the Finns is popular in the classic and the flavoured versions, too. The keywords of the brand are adventureous and colourful, so now the members of the well-known popband Compact Disco have also decided to show their funny side: they dressed up in ski-outfits in thr 35 degree-hot summer…
Finlandia was launched in Scandinavia in 1970 and in the United States in 1971.
The original bottle design (1970–2000) is the work of the Finnish designer Tapio Wirkkala. Today the brand is wholly owned by Brown-Forman through its subsidiary Finlandia Vodka Worldwide Ltd. Brown-Forman acquired the brand in stages from 2000 to 2004. The current bottle design “Glacial Ice” (2003) is a work of the Finnish designer Harri Koskinen and Kenneth Hirst of Hirst Pacific Ltd, New York. The design is meant to evoke melting ice.
