A call for applications for the start-up and investment support of young farmers was published on May 15. In order to ensure that as many young farmers as possible receive support to help them get started, the rural economic advisors of the National Chamber of Agriculture are providing free assistance in preparing and submitting application documentation. In the case of winning applications, NAK will prepare payment applications free of charge and will also provide assistance to applicants in the administration of project closure.

The application structure is significantly different from previous calls for proposals for start-up support for young farmers

The winning applicants will receive a flat-rate grant of 14.6 million forints, which must be used to start the farm, but do not need to be supported by invoices. In addition, they are required to implement an investment in the development of a farm they manage, where the support intensity is 70 percent and the support amount is a minimum of 10.5 million forints, but cannot exceed 75 million forints.

Applications for support can be submitted from July 16, 2025, the planned budget is 79 billion forints

According to preliminary expectations, about 2,000 applicants may receive support. The National Chamber of Agriculture encourages everyone concerned to visit their village economist and use the application advice. It is important that not all village economists deal with writing applications, but there will be village economists in every county who will prepare and submit applications. The free service is therefore available in every county in the country.
